About Kayla Parks
My educational aspirations are a guide in everything I do and they remind me what I’m working so hard toward. They keep me focused on the future while keeping me grounded in the present. My four educational aspirations are one to graduating college after 4 years, two earn my degree in nursing, three maintaining good grades while living the college life to the fullest, and four developing better leadership, communication, and professional skills. My first aspiration is to graduate college in four years. Although I know this is probably better said then done, Im strong on staying all four years growing as an individual and building unbreakable bonds. Graduating on time is so important to me because it will allow me to begin my career. My second aspiration is to earn my degree in nursing. Nursing has always been my passion since gremlin to watching my mother help individuals and just loving lending a helping hand I’ve alway thought this was the perfect career for me. Education, compassion and service three things I love doing that’s really tied together as one when pursuing my career in nursing. With the scholarship I’d be more focused on what I’m learning in the program whether than how I’m going to keep up with paying for it giving me the freedom to put forth my best effort. My third aspiration is to maintain good grades while enjoying college still. I love a good academic challenge but I also want to enjoy the experience of finally being in college like meeting new people, joining organizations I find interesting, and just creating more memories. I believe balance in this situation is very important but I want to make sure I leave college with not only a degree but friendships, and lesson that helped shape me as a person. My forth aspiration is to develop leadership, communication, and professional skills. I feel these are skills you not only need for any career but in life itself. I feel college is the perfect place to build in those areas through various activities. I want to graduate with he confidence to lead, a great ability to work with others, and the professionalism to succeed in any environment. So all in all my four educational aspirations motivate me everyday to complete my goals. Winning this scholarship would ease financial pressure for sure but also provide an amount of support anyone would love their first year of college. With this support I’d definitely be able to reach my aspirations and use what I learn to make a positive change for others around me and in the world .
