About Sumaj Wilson
I feel that regardless that this will take a big boulder off my shoulders, maybe not though I feel every achievement I received in life caused me to have to work harder bc I’m always held to a certain standard. And over the course of this first year of college I gained a better mindset meaning. I went through a positive mindset change that made me humble, which had me realize they nobody is necessarily better than a certain person. However, throughout the summer I recently through what I like to call “one in a million”, meaning something that could only happen to me, not like I have the worst luck, but I’m the only person that can handle these situations. For starters getting my identity stolen is scary situations, you have to handle everything delicately and have a control over your own emotions. As well keep composure ensuring that a lot of things will not go your way. And then the power of procrastination is strong. And it’s a lot when you when your time gets token up by things are required. Everyone wants full ride scholarships until they know the strings, task, requirements behind them. But at the end of the day these requirements help better you as a person so that when I do branch out, I will be able to support for the public good. Overall, I have made a lot of mistakes, but those mistakes are moments were I actually learned something to take in the future. I also been through some tough times as well. But a very rich individual told something important. “Tough times don’t last tough people do” so I know that either way I have to prevail. Like I always like to say I have to make sure there is no room for error. Either way I know this scholarship will support me even if it was in a way that would originally imagine. I know that if I get chosen it wouldn’t be wasted. Thank you for listening to my short story. Sumaj Wilson
